MLK DAY - SCHOOL'S OUT!  WORKSHOP

For ages 6-12

To honor Dr. Martin Luther King and one of the greatest speeches written in our history ("I Have a Dream"), we'll spend this day-off from school playing with some of Shakespeare's greatest speeches:

• "To be on not to be" - Hamlet
• "Friends, Romans, Countrymen"- Julius Caesar
• "Is this a dagger which I see before me?" - Macbeth
• "All the world's a stage" - As You Like It
• "Gallop apace, you fiery-footed seeds" - Romeo & Juliet
• "My father had a daughter loved a man" - Twelfth Night
• and more!!!

We'll start with warm-ups, play lots of theater games and improvisations, then incorporate acting exercises to play with Shakespeare's text in a fun way!

Kids should bring a bagged lunch.  Chatterbox will provide water and some healthy snacks to keep up our energy!
